Mom was doing great today. She was smiling and happy and saying some real words again. We hugged and kissed and had a wonderful visit. We went through the MacDonald’s drive thru and got ice cream on the way back. I parked and let her watch the cars go by while she ate it. She seemed to really enjoy riding around and being outside. I’m so glad she enjoyed herself. I love her so much.

Josh wrote this poem in tribute to his beloved wife who is serving in Iraq.
American Hero
they go off
they say goodbye
some of them live
some of them die
a new world war
many will fall
the price they pay
to save us all
they all give
and they all cry
a part of them lives
a part of them dies
the death they see
the nights they tear
to save our people
from a life of fear
is this fight
right or wrong
only God knows
our faith is strong
they all give
and they all cry
a part of them lives
a part of them dies
Job 5:20 In famine he shall redeem thee from death: and in war from the power of the sword.
