Well, I’m not mad at my coworkers, Carole’s not mad at me, and my door isn’t broken.

Carole and I ended up meeting the next day at the Cinema Grill and shared dinner while we saw Duplex (with Ben Stiller and Drew Barrymore). It wasn’t a great movie, but it was good for a few laughs, which we both needed.

Chris came home and drug me down to the basement to look at the door. The only damage it actually sustained was a splintered chunk off the edge of it. Upon closer examination we realized many other chunks had gone before it and were covered with paint. I’m happy no real harm was done, but also curious about how all the other damage got there.

Even though my friends at work never apologized, I’m not one to hold a grudge so we’ve just forged forward, pretending nothing happened. I’ll be more careful next time before I make plans with anyone.

Speaking of work, I planned to work overtime tonight. When I checked the overtime sheet yesterday, I saw it was available all day long, so I decided to just go in whenever Carole and I were finished spending time together.

So around 5 P.M. I got ready and went in only to find that I had been looking at the SERVICE overtime sheet. SALES overtime didn’t start until 8 P.M. ARG!

I could have worked Service until 8 and then switched over, but it’s been a while, so I decided to just go back home.

I did talk to a couple of friends for a few minutes and also to Chris.

I debated about going back, but decided to do some cooking and cleaning and loafing around the house instead.

I made spaghetti for Chris. It’s his favorite. *smile*

Mom is doing well. Facility was having a party when I got there today and Mom was moving from table to table, getting all the cupcakes she could find. As much weight as she’s lost, I don’t think it will hurt her any. I’ll be picking her up tomorrow for our weekly outing.

I went by her house tonight and brought a few things home. Every time I go over I realize more and more how much stuff we left there. I noticed my sister has been going through, cleaning out drawers.

I did find the special picture of myself from when I was about 9 years old. A ‘professional studio’ took it and it hung on our den wall for many years.

I also found my suitcase full of ribbons, flowers, lace, and whatnot that I use for crafts. I thought I had given it away and was quite pleased to see it’s still around.

I found a book my son borrowed from a friend and had to pay them for because he couldn’t find it. I also found his missing hoodie.

Maybe I’ll take Mom over tomorrow and we can search around some more.
