We’ve been seesawing back and forth between grouchiness and glee. I believe I’ve found a way to help eliminate
most of the BM frustration. *smile* Since Mom apparently had come to believe that our living room was an
outhouse, I have devised a way to prevent her from entering the room. I just need to purchase a hook and eye lock
for the kitchen, but so far she has been staying out with just the French doors blocked. She has been relieving herself
either in the toilet or on the kitchen floor, which is obviously not nearly so frustrating to clean. Funny how much
happier I feel.
This morning Mom was up before me and waiting for me with a big smile. She cooperated with changing clothes and
happily followed me out to the car, even though it was cold outside. When I picked her up they told me she was in a
good mood all day! Tonight she let me wash her hair again! She was happy all night until she fell asleep. I could
really get used to this.
At supper Mom spit something out of her mouth and it flew across the room and landed in Chris’s soup. Chris said,
“Ahhhh ewwwww!” Mom was just rolling with laughter. I couldn’t resist joining in. Chris decided to give her his
soup.

Chris has a friend whose mother is in the hospital dying. A week ago she was fine. Chris isn’t sure what’s wrong with
her, but said her body is all swollen up. It all started out with abdominal pain. Anyway, the doctors said she has a
10% chance of living. Pretty much a death sentence. His friend is beside herself with grief, not wanting to lose her
mother. It’s terribly sad and seemingly hopeless.
When Chris told me she had a 10% chance of living, he added, “So that means she’s going to die, right Mom?” I
agreed that it certainly didn’t sound very promising.
It made me think of tithing and how many Christians refuse to give 10% of their income to the church, saying it’s too
much. I wonder how much they would think 10% was if it referred to their chances of living out the week? I’m sure they’d want a
much greater chance than that. 10% would suddenly become minuscule. It’s all relative, I guess.

Josh and Leah got a digital camera and I got this!

Malachi 3:10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house,
and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of
heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
