What an absolutely beautiful weekend. It helps make one more appreciative of nice weather when Old Man Winter is knocking at the door. We have been blessed with some very mild days this week.

Saturday my sister came over and went to Staunton with me for the day. Her daughter lives there and I didn’t realize she had never been there to see her. I met Karen at the library and my niece came and picked up my sister. They went off together while Karen and I worked on our scrapbooks. So my sister got to see where her daughter is living and Karen was helping me learn scrapbooking. I can tell it’s going to be very addicting. It’s also quite expensive, but maybe I’ll just do a couple of books and then stop. We enjoyed visiting with each other, as usual, and the ride there and back was colorful.

Dr. Trinkle increased the dosage on Mom’s anti-psychotic to see if he could get her to a more manageable level. She hasn’t been taking it long enough for me to know yet. Time will tell and I have high hopes.

My final dentist appointment was today and all I can say about it is OW OW OW OW. I had to get fillings in my front teeth and the shot to numb the area HURT. It hurt way worse than the back did. My mouth still aches a bit now, but hopefully I’ll never, ever get another cavity in a front tooth!

Was this the most exciting World Series ever or what? Each team won all their home games, and that means the Arizona Diamondbacks are the 2001 World Series champs. The Yankees came back in unprecedented fashion in games four and five. Coming from behind to tie the game in the ninth inning and winning in overtime both games! It was unbelievable! But the Diamondbacks had a ninth inning comeback of their own and pulled a win out at the last minute in game seven for the victory. Randy Johnson and Curt Shilling both got voted MVP, so everyone’s happy.

Tomorrow we have the election for governor. Things are looking bad for the good guys, so I need to get out and vote.

Carole just called to tell me her Mom passed away at 9:15 tonight. She had gone from 96 pounds a week ago to 72 pounds this morning. She was terribly emaciated and held onto life until her frail grasp faded. Goodbye Chris... may you be singing with the angels by the feet of the Lord awaiting our arrival.

2 Thessalonians 2:16 - 17 Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace, Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.
