We had four teenagers here last weekend visiting Chris. Mom and Tana both did amazingly well at dealing with
the extra bodies. Mom did lock two of the boys out of the house when they were sitting on the front porch, but that’s
about the extent of the excitement. Tana, who used to positively spaz when someone new was in the house, happily
shared the living room with two boys. In fact, she started howling when they left to go to 7-11 one morning.
Unbelievable.
I thought it might disturb Mom to have two boys sleeping in the living room, since she sleeps downstairs, but she
didn’t seem to realize that was unusual. We were leaving one morning and Tim’s legs were blocking the door slightly
and she just kicked him out of the way. *smile* I think the boys get a kick out of Mom (in more ways that one). I know she gets one out of
them when she’s feeling good.
It looks like I’ll be staying in Roanoke with Mom, at least for a while. I’m going to the beach this weekend to look at
facilities anyway. Just so I can file away some information for the future. One never knows when a situation might
change and I’ll use any excuse to go see my friends anyhow. *smile*
Chris’s car needs a new radiator. Blah. He’s very good at saving money and he has enough to take care of
emergencies like this. I sure do love that kid. Did I ever mention he looks just like me? How much fortune can one
person have? Lucky kid.
Psalm 143:7 - 8 Hear me speedily, O LORD: my spirit faileth: hide not thy face from me, lest
I be like unto them that go down into the pit. Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the
morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my
soul unto thee.
