Josh and Leah are enjoying the Va Tech game on TV for their last night here. Josh has actually shelled out pay per view fees to watch these games at home in Florida. I’m glad they are playing tonight.

As always the time went by too quickly.

Chris had to work tonight and Josh will be asleep when he gets off. He told Josh to wake him in the morning to say goodbye. Chris detests working on Josh’s last night here. Seems like it happens every time.

I have had more time off than I have had since I started working for The Secret Place! I miss my friends at work, but it will be a struggle to get back into the groove!

Josh and Leah will only be in Florida for a couple of weeks before they head across to the left coast to Leah’s new assignment to Travis AFB. Lots of driving... miles and miles away from here, but close to Leah’s home. They’ll be about four hours away from her parents, so she should get to see them frequently. I’m glad they will be close to family.

They cooked beef stew (soup?) in the crockpot for supper tonight and it was soooo delicious! It was even healthy!

Who will cook for me tomorrow night? *sigh*

I went and picked up Mom for Christmas and brought her home for the afternoon and to eat with us. I fixed turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans, and rolls. We had fudge for dessert that a sweet neighbor brought over.

Chris and Leah cleaned the kitchen for me while I took Mom back to Facility. She got back just in time for supper. Heh. As much weight as she’s lost, I don’t think it hurt her any to eat two dinners.

She did well during the visit. She gets the biggest grin when she sees Josh. I know she remembers him. She did roam a bit and got into a few things and was starting to annoy Josh. I think he was worried that something important might disappear or get ruined.

Prices have been raised at Facility and the number of aides working seems to be dwindling. Sometimes there is NO ONE there during third shift. Lots of times only one aide is scheduled to work, taking care of 14 people! I have been considering taking Mom back to her house with a live-in caregiver. I’m trying to figure out if she could live there for the same amount of money.

Right now the basic needs that aren’t being met aren’t important to her. She doesn’t care if her teeth get brushed or if her hair is dirty. I’m not sure if I should uproot her from the lifestyle to which she has become accustomed. Her house is just sitting there with all her stuff in it. I think if I could put it all together and it would not be more expensive, my siblings would go for it. [ As long as it doesn’t involve me getting any money. Ha!] I’m going to keep mulling it over and thinking it through for a while. She would only be a mile away and I would be able to see her much more often.

Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
