Sitting at the dinner table, I notice Mom about to spoon some strawberry yogurt onto her tuna sandwich. I automatically grab the container of yogurt and say, “Oops, that doesn’t go on there.” Mom gets mad and starts to toss her sandwich into the trash can. Her arm is lifted in mid-toss and I say, “Now, don’t do that.” She continues and I reach out and intercept most of the sandwich, but she grabs the top slice of toast and throws it in. “There, I did it anyway!” she boasts. Chris finds her comment terribly amusing and repeats it over a couple of times as he laughs. This makes Mom even madder and she stomps out of the kitchen. Chris puts his arm up to block her and to try to distract her from her anger. She shoves his arm away with a mean look, but just as she rounds the corner I see a little smile on her lips and we hear, “Got ya last!” from the other room.

Matthew 6:25 ¶ Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? .
