I went on yet another diet this month. Well, I should say I went back on an old diet I have been on in the past. It’s called The Carbohydrate Addict’s Diet. I have started out with a whimper instead of a roar. My exercise plan has not exactly panned out yet and so far I have managed to do part of a video ONCE and Tana is waiting for the walking to commence.
I’m doing much better getting back into the groove of the eating plan, which is basically no carbs for breakfast or lunch and a well balanced meal for dinner. No snacking between meals, please.
Hopefully by the end of the year (which is not far off) I’ll be able to see a difference.

Josh called me the other day.
“Guess what I’m holding in my hand?” he challenged happily.
“Ummm. What?”
“The title to my car!”
I had encouraged Josh to pay off his car early and he ended up getting it paid for in about 2 1/2 years. I’m quite pleased with the way he and Leah handle money. They pay their entire credit card bill every month and don’t get into much debt. I have seen too many people filing for bankruptcy and I’m glad I was able to pass on some money smarts to my sons.
Anyway, Josh was thrilled to pieces to have his car note all paid. Unbelievably, just a couple of hours after he called me, a guy towing a trailer with a pickup truck side-swiped him and messed his car all up. He is very disappointed. He said the guy was riding the middle line, so he got way over in his lane and right when he got beside the truck, the guy came over into his lane. The man got out of his car and asked Josh what happened. Apparently he was fumbling around looking for a fuse. Josh and the other guy have Allstate insurance, and Josh is just waiting to hear if the wreck will be declared the other guy’s fault. He is openly admitting fault to Josh, but who knows what he is saying to the insurance people.
The most important thing is that no one was hurt!

I promised you a picture of Chris in his tux, didn’t I?
